If you are capable of working at least sedentary duty, you may collect unemployment compensation benefits while your workers' comp claim is pending, though you may run into trouble if you do so while pursuing a claim for Social Security Disability benefits. You can apply for unemployment compensation benefits by filling out an application which you can obtain here.  The finished application should be mailed to the following address:

In the alternative, you can apply for unemployment compensation using the Compass web site, which you can access by clicking here. Finally, you can apply for unemployment compensation benefits in person at the Bucks County Unemployment Compensation Office, which is located at the following address:

For all Pennsylvania residents, there are a variety of benefits available to you through the Department of Human Services, including cash assistance, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance and health coverage, all of which are described in more detail here. You can apply for these benefits through the Compass web site, which can be accessed here.  You can also fill out an application for benefits, which you can access by clicking here.  Once you have filled out the form, bring the completed form to your County Assistance Office (CAO), at the address set forth below:

If you are disabled from employment and the disability has lasted for a year or more or is expected to last for more than a year, you may qualify for benefits under the Social Security Administration's Social Security Disability (SSD) or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) programs.  You may want to consider hiring a Bucks County Social Security disability lawyer such as Greg Boles to assist you in applying for benefits or handling an appeal from any denial.
