This is Greg Boles on the Seven Ugly Tactics used by some employers to harass injured workers.    The first is the phony sedentary or light duty job.  You might be asked by your employer to return to work to a lighter, sedentary job.  Don't make the mistake of failing to follow through on an offer of light duty.  If you don't go to the job, there is no way that you can tell whether the job is really light or sedentary.  Unfortunately, many employers tell people they have light duty work available but when they show up they are asked to do their regular job.  Make sure that you tell your employer that you are only going to work within your medical restrictions.
